IBRA-radios or Radio Habari Maalum (Radio with special news) work is to send programmes and give courses to native people in mediatechnology. The special news is the gospel of Jesus Christ. Benjamin Nyman and his band Victory is also a part of this work!
First time in Africa for an european is always an adventure. Travelling with small airplanes, jumpy buses on bad tarmacroads, going up and down the hills with a Land Cruiser, eating cornporridge with hands, meeting Masaipeople and sing praise songs to God in Swahili, that's whats it's all about being on a small missiontrip to Tanzania.
The people here are really friendly and they smile all the time (I mean ALL the time). Today I shared little from the Word of God on the morningprayer. The work here at the missionstation starts with morningprayer every morning at 8 AM.
I´ve met Benjamin (the white guy on the picture) his got a band called Victory. Benjamin is the bas player and the songwriter in the band. They are going to record a cd at the studio here. Benjamin's "home" church is Filadelfia Helsinki, but he has been living in Africa almost all his life. In July 2004 Benjamin Nyman and his family are coming home to Finland, for a period of atleast 3 years. They are moving to the grater city of Karis!
